I took up art several years ago as I was retiring from a long and rewarding career that included airplane crash investigation, archaeology, and emergency management. The wide range of my professional experiences has given me ample and varied subjects to draw upon for my art.
I pick subjects that have emotional meaning to me and that I think will evoke an emotional reaction in the viewer. Some of my favorite subjects are prehistoric art found in Tennessee caves, Native American Indian artifacts, Appalachian folk culture, history of atomic energy and unusual religious practices.
I primarily work in oil on canvas, graphite on paper and pen & ink drawings. I have studied with Nashville artists Charles Brindley and Gayle Levee. My studio is located in Adairville, Ky.. Most of the pieces are for sale. Contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for prices and availability.
